Tossed eggs: the exprotor of the Nikolaev area received a lifelong for surrendering the positions of the Armed Forces

According to the investigation, Gennady Herman cooperated with the Russian Special Service, passing information about the positions of Ukrainian fighters, personal data of the military and employees of the SES, passwords for checkpoints and more. Gennady Herman, the former head of the Nikolaev district prosecutor's office, was found guilty of cooperation with the Russian special service and sentenced to life imprisonment for treason. The decision was made at the meeting on June 28.

This became known from the court decision, reports "Public". After the sentence of Gennady Herman was announced, raw eggs were thrown. On April 4, 2022, the ex-chairman of the Nikolaev district prosecutor's office, Gennady Herman, was detained, and on April 6 he was sent to the pre-trial detention center (pre-trial detention center).

According to the investigation version, the man cooperated with the Russian special service, passing information about the positions of Ukrainian fighters in the Nikolaev area, personal data of servicemen and employees of the SES, passwords for checkpoints, the results of shelling and the general operational situation in the region.

In addition, he gave the adjustment of fire on civilian and military facilities and informed the occupiers about the detained Russian prisoners of war in the territory of the Nikolaev area. Herman is accused of committing state treason in martial law. This crime provides punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 15 years or life imprisonment. During the court session, the parents of the dead soldiers who died in the barracks in Nikolaev were attended by last March.

These people associate the death of their loved ones with the state betrayal by the exprotor. Lawyer Stanislav Klimenko, who represents the interests of Gennady Herman, stated in a comment to "public" that his client does not admit his guilt and prove his innocence in court. He noted that the presence of relatives with photos of the dead at the meeting can be seen as a manipulation or mistake, since the case heard in court is not related to the guidance of missiles on barracks in Nikolaev.
