As a result of the war with Ukraine, the number of wounded and killed civilians from bombs increased by 83% - the media

Journalists write that even the highest rates are low, since it is impossible to establish how many civilians died in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The number of victims among civilians from the use of explosive weapons increased by 83% last year due to the war in Ukraine. About it writes The Guardian, referring to Action on Armed Violence (AOVA). It is reported that the total number of killed and injured in 2022 was 20 776 people, which has been the highest since 2018.

At the same time, only 10 381 people were killed in Ukraine. The publication writes that even such value is very low, partly because only the most serious incidents are highlighted in the media reports. Moreover, it was not possible to register the number of victims in places where one of the most serious battles took place, especially in the city of Mariupol, destroyed by Russian siege in the spring of 2022.

According to journalists, the AOVA monitoring methodology has been consistently applied for more than ten years and thus gives an idea of the level of global conflict and the severity of its impact on non -combatants involved in the war. The material states that in 2022, 69% of the incidents were used for the use of explosives, but they caused 94% of all registered casualties among civilians, and in Ukraine this figure is partly due to Russia's tactics for targeting urban areas.

According to AOVAV Executive Director Iien Overton, Russia specifically attacked the civil population of Ukraine. It is reported that the beginning of the Great War in Europe has dramatically changed a three -year period, during which it was reported that victims among civilians due to explosive violence were less than 20,000 people a year. The registered losses in Ukraine are only eight times greater than in the most affected country, Afghanistan, followed by Syria, Somalia and Ethiopia.

Earlier, Focus wrote that in the General Staff told about the losses of the invaders. According to the Speaker of the General Staff Alexander Plan, today in Soledar the Russian military tried the storm, but were forced to retreat. It was also reported that Butusov told what was lacking in the Ukrainian military on the forefront. According to the journalist, thermal protection means are especially necessary for reconnaissance and shock drones.
