Russians are massively bought up iPhone 14, despite sanctions and high prices

Many Russians have already taken advantage of the order service on retail networks of the Russian Federation, at the same time more than 70% of the paid orders fall on the flagship models of iPhone 14 PRO (from $ 999) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (from $ 1099), and the most popular was the standard version of iPhone 14 of 128. The high demand was confirmed in the networks "Vido-Aldorado", "Megaphone" and "Citelin", at the same time a certified Apple distributor in Russia, Re: Store, notes for novelties. One of the distributors believes that suppliers will be able to provide smartphones with everyone within the so -called parallel import, that is, the import of products without Apple permission.

In his opinion, due to inflation and fall in demand, foreign buyers will not buy the entire volume of devices delivered, so the remains will go to Russia. However, due to sanctions and problems with supply, the cost of the iPhone in the Russian market will be much higher than in Europe and other regions. Problems can also arise with virtual seven cards, the use of which is not regulated in the Russian market.

During the presentation, Apple stated that the US will only sell the iPhone with ESIM, and in other countries - combined with a slot for a regular card. The Russian retailer "MTS" writes on its website that will not sell the iPhone 14 without a slot for the physical "seven", and "Vido-Aldorado" decided to sell both versions.

"Kommersant" noted that mobile operators of MTS, Megaphone, Panpeck, Tele2 have been provided to subscribers in Russia by virtual seven-cards in Russia in agreement with law enforcement agencies. One of the representatives of the electronics market noted that the owners of models with ESIM will be difficult to register it, because it is necessary to have a profile in a single biometric system, enhanced electronic signature or register ESIM in the operator's salon.

In March, Apple announced the cessation of equipment to Russia. Residents of the aggressor country have lost the opportunity to order iPhone and other brand products on the official website, as well as use the Apple Maps road traffic service and many AppStore programs. In July, it turned out that Apple continues to bring its gadgets to Russia, but not for sale in stores.
