"We do not know the trajectory of conflict": The war in Ukraine can last three years - the Pentagon

According to the US Deputy Defense Minister, it is difficult to make an accurate forecast for the duration of hostilities. At the same time, the Pentagon hopes that Congress will not refuse to help Kiev even under such conditions. The US Deputy Minister of Defense for Political Collection Cal believes that the war in Ukraine can last for the next three years. He declared it today, February 28, during the hearing in Congress. "We do not know the trajectory of conflict development.

The conflict can end in six months, and maybe two or three years," in particular, he commented during his speech. At the same time, the US Defense Ministry does not expect any significant success in the battlefield in Ukraine by Russia in the near future. The Pentagon emphasizes that maybe some small territories will really go under Russian control in the coming months. But the Russians will not be able to move quickly throughout Ukraine, he says.

Kal also stated that he was counting on the support of Congress on Kiev's military assistance, even in the face of the war. The Deputy Minister said that Ukraine asks Washington up to 128 4th generation fighters. The US believes that Kiev needs from 50 to 80 US F-16 aircraft.
