In Russia, living standards are falling: 35% of the population saves on food more often - a poll

Increased savings for food, those who recognized their financial situation were bad, such as 69%. This figure has increased in youth from 18 to 24 years (44%) and in residents of the Northwestern District (44%), sociologists said. Another third of Russia (32%) saves hairdressers, beauty salons and cosmetics.

"The audience of those who save on beauty, somewhat different are women, citizens 18-24 years (35%) and 45-59 years (36%) who have incomplete secondary education (44%), evaluate their income as bad ( 52%), residents of the Ural Federal District (39%) and those who do not use the Internet and television (43%), " - said experts. Among those who save on food this year, 58% reduced the cost of hairdressers, cosmetics and beauty salons.

Due to the fall of living standards among young people this year, there is a tendency to hike to psychologists and to watch psychological videos or reading literature. At the age of 18-24 years, the figure increased by 37%, and categories 25-34 years-by 22%. Sociologists noted that among men, only 8% have admitted that they started drinking more often. Recall that in Russia there is an acute problem of repayment of mortgage.

By November this year, almost 7 million Russian families paid interest on mortgage loans. Monthly mortgage payments in the Russian Federation are usually just over 40% of the average salary. The Russians are also forced to sell apartments urgently and try to reduce prices as much as possible. Since the beginning of March, the number of such sellers has increased by 85%. According to the UN, 9 out of 10 Ukrainians are at risk of failing poverty if the war with Russia continues in 2023.
