Zelensky named the conditions for resumption of negotiations with Russia

Ukraine, according to the adviser to the chairman of OP Mikhail Podolyak, will sit at the negotiating table if Russia brings out its troops and ceases to fire Ukrainian territories. Ukraine is ready to restore the negotiation process with Russia if the Kremlin meets several requirements of Kiev. This was stated in an interview with Radio Liberty by the adviser to the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak.

During the communication, the interlocutor mentioned the recent publication of The Washington Post, which said that the White House was allegedly pressing on Kyiv and wants Ukraine to demonstrate a willingness to restore peace talks with Russia. In this context, the journalist asked to clarify the situation and tell why the Ukrainian authorities do not fully clarify the situation with a possible dialogue with the Kremlin.

According to Podolyak, Ukraine is ready for the negotiation process, provided that Russia fulfills several requirements of Kiev. "The Russian Federation takes away its troops and takes them to the internationally recognized borders of the Russian Federation. Russia ceases to attack the territory of Ukraine from its territory. This is the second negotiation position. And the third negotiation position.

After that, when we understand that Russia is not in our territory, we sit down To speak with the Russian government about the consequences of war, first, and secondly, the post-war relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. According to Podolyak, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his environment openly demonstrate that they do not want to renew the negotiation process. Instead, the Kremlin puts forward to Ukraine ultimatums that are unacceptable to our country.
