The company with headquarters in Berlin is the former subsidiary of the Russian Gazprom, writes Der Spiegel. Video of the day according to the German edition, such measures are related to the situation around a gas company with the headquarters in Leipzig VNG (Verbundnetz Gas Agbo), which in early September applied for state aid.

VNG has previously concluded a large contract for the supply of Russian gas through SEFE - to disruptions with gas supply caused, in particular, by the stop of the North Stream. According to Der Spiegel, nationalization of SEFE will be a step in favor of the security of Germany, and therefore will not provide for compensation by the German authorities to the Russian side. And nationalization will open the journey of additional assistance to the company.
