As reported on June 28 by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaschak, this is an important step towards the implementation of the second phase of modernization of the Polish Vistula Anti -Value Defense System. According to the communique, the approved agreement includes 12 Patriot firing installations in the latest configuration adapted to use the IBCS system.
It includes 48 M903 starting installations together with 644 Patriot Pac-3 MSE missiles, the sets of integrated air defense and IBCS and 12 Ltamds radars. Polish Defense 24 added that the package also included auxiliary elements, including communication systems, spare parts sets, logistics support and training, GPS navigation systems with SAASM obstacles module and more.
It is noted that the Vistula is currently equipped with standard sector radars, so within the second stage of air defense modernization, Poland will receive all -directional Ltamds radars, which will significantly increase the efficiency of air defense. According to DSCA, the main contracts under the contract will be Raytheon, Patriot integrator and Radara Ltamds manufacturer, PAC-3 MSE Martin Martin Manufacturer, and IBCS Air Defense Manufacturer Northrop Grumman.
