After the start of the war, the share of Ukrainians who are positive about the Russians fell from 76 to 11% - sociologist Paniotto

The CEO of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, Vladimir Paniotto, in an interview with NV, reported that after the start of the full -scale war of Russia against Ukraine, the share of Ukrainians who belong to the Russians fell from 76 to 11%. “The attitude towards Russian citizens was much better. In November 2021, 76% of Ukrainians were positive about the Russians, because they were not aware of the level of support of the Russians by Putin's politics.

And in May 2022 there was a dramatic fall in a positive attitude towards the Russians - up to 11%, ”Paniotto said in an interview with HB. The sociologist believes that in 10 or 20 years this attitude is unlikely to change significantly. “But if Russia's leadership changes to a democratic, admits the guilt of its country, start paying reparations, make denacification, etc. (which is very difficult to imagine), then rapid changes are possible.
