Million reserves are increasingly declining: when the Russian Federation faces a deficiency of ammunition

Currently, the Russian Federation is able to produce a number of ammunition per day that is enough for six 152 mm guns for 15 minutes of shooting. Therefore, the invaders will not be able to maintain the pace of even 10 thousand shells a day. The Russian army can no longer keep the use of ammunition at 60,000 per day and, according to various estimates, this number has decreased to 5-20 thousand units. Forbes reports.

According to Ukrainian estimates, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation produces 15 thousand ammunition daily, the EU estimates this figure at 40-50 thousand. Rochan Consulting analysts claimed that the Russian Federation spends about 10,000 shells a day. Total ammunition reserves in the Russian Federation are estimated at 16 million, but the exact figures may not be known even in the Kremlin itself. It is also obvious that not all 40-year shells are still suitable for use.

The sharp decline in the amount of artillery indicates that the Russian reserves are highly exhausted. In addition, analysts say that up to 50% of all shells have signs of rust or technical malfunction. The fact is that the Russian army still adheres to the doctrine of massive fire to compensate for its shortcomings.

It is because of this that the Ukrainian cities are devastating, because first the Russian Federation attacks all points where the resistance can potentially be and then sends infantry. It is an extremely inefficient use of ammunition. In addition, Ukraine destroys hostile warehouses with ammunition. According to analysts, the Russian Federation is able to produce about 20 thousand rounds per month or 700 shells a day. One 152 mm gun has a speed of 7-8 shells per minute.

Therefore, one battery of 6 guns will consume 700 shells in 15 minutes. It is not surprising, therefore, that there is competition for ammunition between the Wagnets and a regular army. Attempts to buy ammunition in other countries, as well as an effort to increase their own production will still not allow the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to shoot even 10 thousand shells a day.

The latest trying to storm Bakhmut indicate that the ammunition is getting smaller, because the attack was thrown infantry. Therefore, the Russian Federation will soon face what to do after a Ukrainian counter -offensive, which will also require an artillery response. We will remind, on April 5 the media wrote that the Armed Forces accumulate ammunition to prepare a counter -offensive. Also struck in the deep rear of the invaders.
