The EPPO app helped the Armed Forces knock down the Iranian drones of Shahd (Video)

The Ukrainians noticed the drones in time and transferred data to the military in two clicks. For the New Year, Ukrainian troops were knocked down by two Iranian Dron-Kamikadze Shahd thanks to the EPPO application. One of the developers - Gennady Soldin - said this on his Facebook page. According to Gennady Soldin, during the shelling of December 31 and January 1, the EPPO system helped the military track and knock down the missiles and drones launched by Russia.

Vigilant users opened the application and indicated the direction of the flight, which greatly simplified the work of the air defense troops. "Friends, please take care of your relatives and familiar in the countryside to install and use the EPPO application. Because information from regions with a small number of residents is indeed the weight of gold," the developer said to the Ukrainians.

On January 1, Presidential Office Advisor Alexei Arestovych recommended that you install the EPPO on the smartphones and use it when detecting a missile or drone in the sky. According to him, the information provided by users is really helping to eliminate threats. The military does not only rely on the signals, they analyze a large array of data from various sources, which reduces the risk of false anxiety.

Earlier, they wrote that the EPPO application was created by a group of volunteers from Odessa under the name "Technari", consulting with the Air Force officers of Ukraine and the operational command "South". It is enough for the user to run the program, select the type of threat (plane, helicopter, rocket or drone), and click on the big red button.

The system checks the accuracy of the specified information: compares the geolocation of the smartphone with the location of the mobile base station and verifies data with signals from other users. In September, the program was integrated into the application of public services "Action". If the information is truthful, it is transferred to the Armed Forces command point, where the military is calculating the flight trajectory and aiming at the threat.

"EPPO" creates points on a virtual map in virtual time, where they can be compared to radar indicators. In October, EPPO appeared in the Google Play Market online store. The developers have added to it through the "action" to squeeze jokers and malefactors who wish to send false signals to help the Russians. On October 26, the EPPO Appendix helped to knock down the Russian rocket. Ukraine's air defense forces received data from users and struck the caliber from the needle "needle".
