"Ukraine needs it": in the EU told when 1 million ammunition will arrive for the Armed Forces

According to EU representative Josepa Borrel, there were differences between the plans for jointly purchasing shells for Kiev, but they intend to resolve them in operational terms. The European Union can transfer a million ammunition to Ukraine during 2023. This was stated by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tshkn after arriving in Luxembourg to meet the Foreign Ministry of the EU heads of the EU on April 24.

According to him, according to the existing plan, the transmission of ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take place gradually throughout the year. "I am sure that the European Union will be able to put this million ammunition during this year, which we have agreed. Because Ukraine desperately needs it," Tsakhkna said. The high representative of the EU on Foreign and Security Policy of Josep Borrel at the same meeting also spoke on this topic.

He noted that European countries will promptly look for a compromise for joint procurement of shells for Ukraine, as there is an "emergency". "I spoke with Dmitry Kuleba about two ways (giving ammunition, ed. ) The number of ammunition is discussed - he could not clarify, but the request for payment of this amount came. Among the EU countries, as Josep Borrel admits, there are differences in the second path of ammunition, but they are about to decide soon. "We are in an emergency.

I am sure that we will reach the approval quickly. We are looking for this legal decision, we are not sitting or waiting. All work is ongoing, so immediately after this political agreement is achieved, practical work will be done" , - added the high representative of the EU. We will remind, on April 21 the media wrote that the Government of Slovenia wants to join the purchase of ammunition with EU countries for Ukraine.
