According to military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov, aircraft that fly from the Airrodrok Airrodrome can carry an additional rocket that increases the efficiency of attacks. After the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhya direction, the Russian Federation transferred part of its strategic aviation at the airfield near the city of Mozdok in North Ossetia. About it reports "Radio Liberty" on June 22.

According to journalists, the first six TU-22M3 aircraft were recorded in the Montido on May 24. Planet Lab satellite images indicate that there was no strategic aviation on this airfield on April 28. According to the newspaper, it was from there that the TU-22M3 flew, which attacked the winged rockets of X-22 Dnipropetrovsk region on the night of June 22. Satellite photos show that there were 7 aircraft on the eve of the airfield attack.

According to military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov in a comment to reporters, earlier the Russian Federation did not use "Mozdok" for military purposes against Ukraine. In his opinion, the invaders were thrown out there to punch Ukraine's aircraft. "Mozdok airfield makes it possible to strike from the Black Sea. In addition, reducing the amount of fuel for combat departure allows you to hang another rocket to the aircraft. The efficiency of rocket strokes can be several times higher," Zhirokhov said.
