"Only beginning": Prosecutor General of Ukraine explained what the issuance of a warrant for Putin's arrest means

According to Andriy Kostin, the decision of the International Criminal Court in the Hague is a historic for Ukraine and the entire system of international law. And added - law enforcement officers recorded the deportation of 16 thousand children from Ukraine to the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin has the official status of the suspect in the commission of an international crime. Outside Russia, it must be detained and transferred to court.

The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin wrote about it on Facebook. He agreed with the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue a warrant for the arrest of Putin and the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child of Russia, Maria Lviv-Belova. According to Kostin, the world leaders now have to think three times before serving the Kremlin's head and sitting with him at one table.

"The world has received a signal that the Russian regime is criminal and its leadership and assistants will be held accountable," Kostin wrote. In his opinion, it is a historical solution for Ukraine and the whole system of international law. "Thanks to him, the Karim Khan's prosecutor's prosecutor. We are working closely with the investigation of crimes against Ukraine every day.

He also noted that the Office of the Prosecutor General recorded a deportation of 16,000 children from Lugansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. However, the real figure can be much higher. "There is no doubt that it is a planned policy of Russia, aimed at destroying Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a nation," Kostin said. He also stated that Ukraine had already returned 308 children home. However, there is a lot of work to return everyone else and hold everyone guilty of war.
