The EU is preparing sanctions for China companies that help the Russian Federation - Financial Times

Seven Chinese companies are accused of selling Russia's equipment that it can use for its weapons, the newspaper reports. Sanctions will be considered this week. The EU proposes to impose sanctions on several Chinese companies by assisting Russia in the war against Ukraine. The use of such penalties can increase the intensity in relations between the EU and Beijing. Financial Times writes about it.

According to the newspaper, 7 Chinese companies are charged in the new package of sanctions, which are accused of selling equipment that the Russian Federation can use for its weapons. The package will be considered this week. Some of these companies have previously been sanctioned by the US, and the EU actions will cause dissatisfaction with China.

2 companies from the United Arab Emirates and one of Armenia, 2 companies from the mainland China "3HC Semiconductors" and "King-Pai Technology", as well as 5 companies based in Hong Kong, 2 are 2 companies. Of which are on the US sanctions list: "Sinno Electronics" and "Sigma Technology". 27 EU Member States have to vote unanimously for the list.

3HC Semiconductors, which produces computer chips, is accused of "trying to bypass export control and purchase or attempt to purchase goods of American origin to support military and/or defense industrial base of Russia", - the European Commission said in the sanctions proposal. King-Pai is reported to supply microelectronics to Russia, which "has defense, including winged missiles.

" "Sinno" from Hong Kong and "TACO" (Armenia), supply the Russian defense procurement company "Radio Automatics", which specializes in evasion of sanctions.
