According to the General of the Alliance, during the meeting, representatives of the Member States expressed the support of Poland after falling into its territory a rocket, which killed two people. At the same time, Stoltenberg noted that during the NATO summit this year, the Allies agreed to expand the presence in the eastern part of the Alliance.
NATO Secretary General noted that, according to preliminary data, a missile that fell in Poland is a projectile of the Ukrainian air defense system, but this does not mean that Ukraine is guilty of Ukraine because the event took place at the moment when Kyiv was defending itself from a massive missile attack from Sides of the Russian Federation. At the same time, Stoltenberg emphasized that the incident has no sign of a deliberate attack by the Russian Federation on the NATO territory.
Responding to the relevant question of journalists, Stoltenberg noted that NATO was ready to strengthen the air defense on the eastern flank, in particular in Poland, with the help of terrestrial, air and maritime base systems. Stoltenberg also assured that the supply of Ukraine is a priority for Ukraine. We will remind, according to media reports, US President Joe Biden said that on Tuesday, November 15, the Polish city of Pshevodov fell a rocket of Ukrainian air defense forces.
