Prior to a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Cisco supplied routers, switches, IP telephony, Wi-Fi networks, and webinars, remote conferences and other software to Russia. In March, the company turned activities in Russia and Belarus, closed the office in the aggressor country, stopped selling its products and updating already bought. Sisco services in the Russian Federation were used by many private and state organizations, including industrial enterprises.

Now its equipment is imported to Russia on the so -called parallel import, but in the event of problems, such as the breakdown of equipment, Russians do not receive help from the manufacturer. According to Mobile Research Group, Eldar Murtazin, after a statement of dismissal from the Russian Federation, has transferred the affairs of the IBS partner, and can now use it as a mediator or distributor to save profits.

Direct supply is also possible, as in April the US Treasury has lifted sanctions from telecommunications equipment. IBS refused to comment on the situation, and Sisco has not yet answered the media request. The CEO R-STYLE SOFTLAB Lev Frenkel believes that Cisco can return to the Russian Federation due to large financial losses-after leaving it has lost $ 200 million quarterly.

One source noted that political motives can be hidden on the return of Cisco, as experts are able to collect information about Russian organizations through their equipment.
