It is impossible to stand aside an aggressive war waged by Russia against Ukrain...

Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Today is not enough to sympathize with Ukraine, it is necessary to help affairs and words, especially opposing the propaganda of the Russian Federation in Asia and Africa

It is impossible to stand aside an aggressive war waged by Russia against Ukraine if you share democratic principles. To defeat tyranny, you need decisive and effective support from people around the world. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during communication with students and teachers of leading higher education institutions of Australia. “It is the struggle of autocracy against democracy.

Therefore, you can not stand aside if you protect the principles of common with Ukraine. I am sure that in the world, most people and countries protect the same values that we defend today on the battlefield at the cost of our own life, ”he said. The head of state noted that now it is not enough to sympathize with Ukraine and Ukrainians - effective support is needed. “We are grateful for this, with the word support, but of course, you need support.

To defeat tyranny, you need to be very specific. And right now. After all, every minute, every hour, we lose the most important thing that the planet Earth, God and our parents gave us is the life of people, ”said Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The President thanked the Australian citizens who support Ukraine as volunteers and transfer humanitarian aid. He also noted that the world is now being unfolding, as Russia has a large propaganda machine, which spends billions of budgets on financing.

“Everything is clear about Russia. We know that the enemy came to our land. But in different corners of the world, which are located far from Ukraine - on the African continent, in Asia - Russia spreads misinformation that they have not attacked anyone. And in some corners of the world it works. Even after eight years of war, people cannot open their heart to the truth.

Sometimes they are satisfied, sometimes their business interests are more important to them when making decisions than people's lives, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained. In this regard, the head of the Ukrainian state called on students, young people who are actively using social networks, spread true information about Ukraine in their countries and what is happening to it.

Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that as a president, every day, that Russia could not find allies on the planet in this unjust invasion. “Fortunately, I do not alone, we do all - many leaders in the world are working to bring the truth. And we see that Russia is losing allies, ”the head of state said. He noted that he would like such influential state as China to join a united world position on Russia's war against Ukraine. “Today, China balances and has neutrality.

I will say honestly that this neutrality is much better than if China joined Russia. I believe that the society of China, the people of this state will make a reasonable choice. Still, it is important for us that China does not help Russia, ”the President said. Communication took place on the basis of Australian National University. The rector of this university, former Foreign Minister of Australia Julie Bishop, was the moderator.
