Russian invaders planned to hit the South Ukrainian NPP rockets and for this purpose attracted the Ukrainian as an informant. He managed to receive 9 thousand hryvnias for his "services". SBU staff detained the Russian informant who was collecting intelligence on the defense of the South Ukrainian NPP. The information about this appeared in the official telegram channel of the SBU on Monday, June 26.

According to the investigation, the suspect was a resident of South Ukrainian, whom the Russian intelligence service was involved in cooperation in May 2023. The Russian special services came to the Ukrainian in one of the telegrams, where the man approved the Kremlin's military aggression. He collected and transmitted the enemy information on the places of base and the number of units of defense forces that protect the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant.

In particular, they were interested in the exact coordinates of the deployment of military formations that provide defense of the NPP and satellite city of South Ukrainian. Closed information needed occupiers to prepare sight rocket strokes. For each notable message to the enemy, the Russian agent received money. At the time of detention, he had already "earned" in this way 9 thousand hryvnias.

SBU staff detained the attacker while trying to transfer the coordinates and photos of one of the military facilities. The man is now in custody. We will remind, on June 23 the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov voiced the terms of catastrophe at the Zaporozhye NPP.

According to him, there is a risk that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can carry out a terrorist attack on the ZPP with the leakage of radiation to stop Ukraine's offensive operation and freeze the front line in its current form. The media also wrote that in September 2022, the South Ukrainian NPP came under the fire of Russian troops.
