Putin's wealth: EU frozen Russian assets by 17.5 billion euros

Most of the amounts have frozen seven EU countries, including Germany, Belgium and France. European Union countries have frozen 17. 5 billion euros of Russian assets. This was stated by the European Commission Representative Christian Wigand, the Austrian edition of Orf reports. According to him, assets of 1350 people and organizations under EU sanctions were frozen. The accounts, real estate and yachts of such persons are tracked and frozen by EU Member States.

Seven EU countries have frozen a prominent part of the voiced amount, namely: the European Commission representative emphasized that this trend is related not only to Russian property in these countries, but also to the work of the authorities, as well as the effective implementation of sanctions.

According to Christian Viganda, it will be possible to transfer frozen assets of the aggressor country to restore infrastructure only after confiscation of these funds, and this will require the appropriate legislative framework. Russia continues to sow death, trying to select Ukraine's independence. The enemy does not neglect to fire with his missiles infrastructure and civilian objects of Ukraine.

Therefore, Ukraine will demand from the Russian Federation of reparation for a large invasion of a total amount of at least $ 300 billion. According to the Minister of Justice Denis Masuska, in the fall of 2022 an international mechanism of compulsory recovery of reparations from Russia for destruction in Ukraine should appear.

Immediately afterwards, according to the minister, our country will start negotiations with specific countries that have frozen Russian assets asking them to transfer them to a special compensation fund. At the same time, the official noted that it is impossible to speak about the specific amount of Russian assets that Ukraine can receive as a reparation.

Earlier, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Alexei Danilov stated that Ukraine is ready to negotiate with Russia on contributions and reparations. The secretary noted that the longer Russia is delaying these negotiations, the greater the amounts of destruction caused by war.
