ISW details the successes of the Armed Forces in the Balakliya area and calls the IAEA report "encrypted" accusation against Russia: Map of hostilities

The transfer of the forces of the Russian Federation from Kharkiv region and the eastern regions of Ukraine to the south probably opened new opportunities for counterattack in the region - as evidenced by the offensive operation of the Ukrainian forces in the Balakliya (Kharkiv region). This was reported in its new summary on September 6 by the American Institute for War Study.

Its experts separately analyze the counter -offensive operation of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region in the Balakliya area, which probably "rejected the Russian forces to the left bank (north side) of the Seversky Donets and Middle Balakliyka. " ISW experts suggest that on September 6, Ukrainian troops captured Verbivka (less than 3 km northwest of Balakliya) - as evidenced by the personnel, the geolocation of which the Institute's analysts managed to verify.

"Several Russian sources have recognized Ukrainian successes in Verbivka and reported that Russian troops had destroyed the unnamed bridges on the eastern outskirts of Balakliya to prevent further promotion of Ukrainian troops," the ISW experts write. The photo published on September 6, also shows the destroyed bridge across the Middle Balakliyka River - a geographical object, which probably passes the line of the Russian front on this area.

ISW analysts also drew attention to social networks that on September 6, Russian troops departed from checkpoints six kilometers west Balakliya. Video of the day, in addition, Russian forces are probably no longer holding their former positions in Bayrak and Nova Husarivka (south of Balakliya on the right bank of the Siversky Donetsk River), the authors of the new erection of the Institute write.

They could leave these positions at the end of August: on August 30, the Russian troops were blown up by the bridge across the Siverskyi Donetsk River near Bayrak in an unknown date, which may indicate the departure of the Russians. In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported on September 6 that Russian troops had inflicted air strikes on Bayrak - probably, this indicates that the Ukrainian forces could advance in the area.

The fact that Russia has transferred forces from the Kharkiv region and from the east of Ukraine to the south will probably allow the Armed Forces to counter this in the region - it is the implementation of such a situational possibility of ISW analytics that consider the Armed Forces surgery in the Balakliya area.

Analyzing the obituaries and data on the dead Russian servicemen, experts point out that Russia has transferred to the Kherson region of the 147th Artillery Regiment of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Guards Tank Army no earlier than the end of August. ISW analysts state that for the first time they found signs of the presence of units of the elite 1st Guards Tank Army of the Russian Federation in the south of Ukraine.

Parts of the 147th Division earlier participated in March battles in Bucha near Kiev in March, and parts of the 1st Guards Tank Army acted mostly in the Kharkiv direction after the departure of Russians from the Kiev region.

Specialists of the Institute of War Study also carefully studied the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of September 6 on the situation at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZPP) and concluded that despite his neutrality, he is a "encrypted condemnation The danger of a nuclear catastrophe in Ukraine is maintained. " The document really has no direct instructions on which party is responsible for the shelling of the ZPP.

However, calls for "all parties" can take measures to improve the situation can be overshadowed by "a maximum clear statement of Russia's actions that undermine NPP safety.
