More than 200 Ukrainian defenders managed to be released from Russian captivity ...

"Everyone wants to do - to the war." Interview with Biletsky - about the liberated Azov and the transformation of the shaft of mobilized Russians into the ditch

More than 200 Ukrainian defenders managed to be released from Russian captivity during the largest exchange since February 24. Among them are 188 defenders of Azovstal and Mariupol. Radio NV spoke with the former regiment commander of Azov Andriy Biletsky to find out in what condition he was released from the captivity of Azovtsi.

In an interview, he also told why Dictator Vladimir Putin his godfather - a suspect in the state community People's Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, which was exchanged by the defenders of Ukraine, and how Ukraine can respond to the so -called partial mobilization in the Russian Federation. Video of the Day - Everyone wants to know that with the Azovs who have been released. You even had the opportunity to see the released personally.

Who is with? How are they? -First, 105 Azov, who were transferred yesterday on the northern border of Ukraine, ie in the Chernihiv region, all are now in the hospital, they are checked. The condition is definitely far from the best of people, there are many injured. The second part is, say, the senior commanders of Azov, the senior commanders of the units who defended Mariupol-NSU, Volyn from the 36th Brigade. This is primarily a friend of Redis, a friend of Kalina, a friend of Apis.

They were delivered to Turkey by an agreement, in which, as far as I know, the President of Turkey [Rezhep] Erdogan participated directly. They are there and, at least, will be there for a while. President [Volodymyr Zelenskyy] has stated today that they will be there until the end of the war. Well . . . Let's look. For other guys, they will be inspected in the near future.

Much will go further to medical institutions, and most will go to their relatives immediately, to parents in order to have a moral and physically rest before taking the case again. - You had the opportunity to chat with Redis, that is, with Denis Prokopenko. What did you talk about if you can tell? - Yes, I spoke with my three friends. With a friend Redis, with a friend of viburnum and with apis. These are three Azov, who were taken to Turkey. Crude, of course, a little conversation came out.

These were the first 15 minutes literally as they came out of the Fsbshnya Aircraft - a flying prison. They were brought under the protection of the FSB. First of all, they felt joy: it is clear that I congratulated the guys. All three are in a completely normal moral and psychological state. Although they stayed all the time in single (single cameras - ed. ). That is, they did not actually communicate with people, not counting the FSB, which is difficult to consider.

And everyone expresses the desire to return to the business as soon as possible. To the case in which they are certainly professionals - before the war and the de -occupation of the country. This is serious. Literally in the first minute everyone said, "When to work?" Oh yeah. They have not seen families yet, but they have a completely combat and worker. And now I'm leaving a half country to talk to the wounded. I think that [they] also have a mood combat and working.

In short: everyone is in a normal state (in psychological, not in physical) and everyone wants to do. - It seems that they still need rehab, given that . . . - they do not think. But I think that [it takes] some time to be effective. We need to recover. Because it is difficult. And moreover, there is a duty to families. We all remember Olenivka, shelling, killings of captives and so on. And families are also important. But I would like to say one thing now, it is the most important thing for me.

Yesterday, 108 of our siblings were freedom - whether in Ukraine, or not yet, but not on freedom. I am surprised by some telegram channels or news, [where] "Azovstal defenders are released. " It should be remembered that 750 almost Azov, Marines, National Guards and others remain in captivity. [They] remain in the same Olenivka, who turned into a Ukrainian prisoner torture.

And, accordingly, we all have to be glad now because some of our friends and Ukrainian heroes are here, but not for a second to reduce the focus that it is not everyone, that there is still a huge number of fighters who need the help of the country in order to make They came out. This is a huge step forward, but [we need to] remember that we have a duty to all the captives who remain in Russia.

- Do we know something about the safety guarantees that Azov commanders in Turkey? We remember that Turkey is one of those countries where Russian can just fly. And we understand the value of such figures for them - they are very important honey, ideologically. Do we know something about it? - They are important and professionally, because it is really the elite of the Ukrainian army - one of the most professional, [most] morally trained commanders. About guarantees.

Frankly, I am fully optimistic because Erdogan is a guarantor of their safety. And Erdogan is not the uncle that even the Russians should joke. He proved it many times. And if Erdogan undertakes to guarantee the safety of someone in his country, I think that it is very high that he can do it. In addition, for Russia it will not be just a murder in a third country, relatively speaking, or an attempt to abduct. This for Russia will certainly be conflict directly with Turkish authorities and Erdogan.

And these are quite difficult guys who understand what national interests are and can make very rigid decisions. The Russians felt in the same Syria, Libya, and in Ukraine. - When did you find out that the Azov will be exchanged? - In fact, about two weeks ago. I knew the approximate number of [people] that it was about one hundred men. Some moments I knew some understanding. I understood that there would be a great exchange. I knew about the idea with Turkey, that Erdogan got involved in this story.

But frankly, I gave this development of very little chance - I believed percent for twenty percent. I understood that we were exchanging a hundred Azov, but that they exchange commanders, and they would find themselves in Turkey that [the procedure] would be implemented], which so much was talked about in April and May . . . I believed in little, honestly. And it is good that the people who did this came out. For me, this is an indicator of GUR. And here is only to thank and pay tribute [necessary].

Although, of course, the factor of Erdogan and Medvedchuk, I think, have played a role. - And why Putin Medvedchuk? - This is the greatest mystery of the last day (laughs - ed. ). I think that this question is asked by katsaps, Ukrainians are less likely to ask these questions. In general, any healthy person is asked by this question, because to explain why to change a large number of Ukrainian fighters to . . . maybe just lacks oligarchs in Russia.

Maybe some deficiency with godfathers maybe something else. I think that for every adequate person it is definitely a mystery, idiocy. But thank God that we have such an enemy, and he considers such an enemy (in the truest sense of the word) things. It's a fact. - You know that there is a version that Putin is really needed to keep Medvedchuk for his throat. Medvedchuk guaranteed that all Ukraine would seem, Ukrainians will meet with the bread and salt of the invaders.

He also spent some crazy billions. Yesterday, Dictator Putin announced the so -called partial mobilization, although we understand that they can throw as much as "cannon meat" in Ukraine. And we are not very waiting for protest moods from the Russians, because they are a little other people than we are. How should we answer that? - regarding mobilization in Russia. I had a big discussion with many officers of seniors and generals. Everyone says this is a bad option for Russia.

And I say the following: it's a 100% bad option, but they have a bad and very bad one. Very bad is not to mobilize and is guaranteed to lose the war in the near future-six to twelve months. A bad option is to make mobilization. It may be a revolution that I do not believe. It may be, to put it bluntly, a minimum chance of winning. Accordingly, when you choose between bad and very bad, it is logical to choose the first. Accordingly, they chose mobilization.

Is this a threat to us? Despite the fact that the final victory for us, but this is a serious question. In Russia, from the first day of the war, the lack of ordinary infantry, motorizeders, mechanizers . . . This was one of the key factors of their failures and losses. The advantage in artillery, in jet systems, in rocket weapons was offset by the fact that no one was occupied. That is, it was possible to destroy the position, but the city occupies the infantry.

The truth was that they did not have enough infantry. After about three (up to four) months [mobilized] will appear on the front. This "meat" will appear on the front. And this will definitely strengthen their combat capabilities, if we did not laugh at it. What should Ukraine be answered? My opinion is that an asymmetrical war should be waged. If we comply with Russia with mobilization (it is also partially necessary, but partially), then we will not cause anything for the simple reason.

Because the resource - the same "meat", guns, tanks and so on - in Russia will still be more in the coming years than in Ukraine. Mathematically. Accordingly, it is necessary to proceed for efficiency. Instead of quantitative indicators, it is necessary to increase efficiency. It is not only the receipt of Western weapons, it is the intensity in combat training. It is necessary to use this weapon and should be used as efficiently as possible.

Combat training is also an improvement in their capabilities in tactics, in operational arts. This is what is needed. Because "meat" on "meat" we will not work. This meat will have a positive effect for Russia on the situation at the front. Accordingly, we must still improve our efficiency in the war, a serious period) by this time, both through the supply of high -quality high -precision weapons, various intelligence systems, and should improve the efficiency of our own troops.

Then we will be able to meet this shaft, and very quickly turn it from the shaft into a ditch, in which they hide these . . . Here, which we now see in Russia. - It is also believed that on their part of "meat", and on ours - technology, that it can also help. This is exactly what you are talking about. - In order for the technologies to work effectively, you need to understand how to use them properly. This is a naive dream that you pressed the button and something worked for you. No.

Believe that the effectiveness of Himars depends on the brilliant artillerymen, the rocket launchers in Ukraine. Yes, they are 100%, 101% use modern technological things. But it depends on them. If they had an efficiency of 50% of use, they would not affect anything at all. The Russians (they have worse weapons are a little but not so critical) would simply solve this situation. But we use Himars as efficiently as possible. And these are people.

Therefore, technology technologies, but will not send us anything to press the button - and it has been overwhelmed for you. UAV is first and foremost a quality crew. It's not a bird, but a quality crew. One crew from one bird can squeeze out fantastic things, and the other - nothing can, and next time it is broken. Here you and technology. Therefore, the technologies should be in accordance with a quality, professional fighter.

We have many of them, they are, we are definitely professionalized every day, but there are no limits for self -improvement. - Azov is currently a recruiting campaign, you are creating a new unit. Who can join this new unit? What are the main requirements? You may tell you a little about it. -Anyone who feels a deep internal need to fight in a professional unit wants to improve themselves, grow over themselves, and feels the need to protect the country in Azov, that is, to the last.

There is a physical test, there is an interview, there is a stress test and similar things. But not the one who has been involved in sports wins somehow prepared for it, but who has character. And such a person remains, very quickly becomes a professional fighter. Who has this character, we say goodbye to people without starting to get acquainted. Now a wonderful situation that has never been in Azov. There were medical girls, but there were no in combat positions and in the calculations [women].

But now, with the beginning of such a people's war, a large number of girls have appeared in combat units. Moreover, in such assault units, in Azov, and so on. There is no one, you know, a meter of eighty, a strong girl. It is a girl of sixty -five meter in height, 50 kilograms and they somehow come out, though they did not serve in the army. The spirit prevails over everything else. Therefore, if you are an adult who has worked all your life with a technician, you are needed in the Azov units.

The qualitative rear is a high -quality battle on the front. If you are a young person who did not serve you need in Azov. If you have a character we will make you professional soldiers. If you serve and want to serve with the Azov specificity (and these are always the most unbearable tasks, the fight to the end), then you are also waiting here. That is, any person who has internal motivation can find himself in Azov. It's 100%.

- In Mariupol, according to various estimates, about 60-70 thousand people were killed. Huge Ukrainian losses. I know you took part in the release of Mariupol in 2015. Do you now imagine the release of Mariupol, what will it be? - It will be difficult. And it will be within the framework of a large strategic-impact [operation]. I have a personal dream: I want to be among the first people or units to enter Mariupol because it is a fundamental position for us.

In 2014, the Azov, which then consisted of several hundred soldiers, completely young and not having military training, released it, defended him. Azovstali tragedy. The heroic tragedy of Azovstal took place. In fact, in the military history of the 21st century, it is so accurate. It took place in Mariupol. And for us, the question of the release of Mariupol is a matter of honor. So far in Russia there is a city of Azov.
