"Technical Questions": in Italy explained the delay with the supply of air defense for Ukraine

The Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tayanya claims that there is no slowdown in military assistance to Ukraine, the Italians work with France to resolve the military aspects of SAMP/T SAMP. In order to supply Ukraine's anti-aircraft missile complexes, italy needs to solve "technical issues". This was stated by Italy Foreign Minister Antonio Tayano on Rai Radio 1 Radio Station, Reuters reports. According to the Foreign Minister, the Italian government does not slow down assistance to Ukraine.

The problem with a new military assistance package consists of air defense systems. Supply is planned to be transferred with France, so it is now actively working with colleagues to solve technical difficulties. "The defensive project is the Italian-French, we are intensively working with the French. There are technical problems that need to be solved in the case of non-judicial military aspects," Tayana said.

Italy intends to convey the SAMP/T system to Ukraine to help protect against Russian rocket attacks. Tajani made a statement after La Repubblica stated that the decision to transfer a new military assistance package was postponed by February. The cause of the media was called political tension, cost and lack of equipment. Italy handed two of the five Samp/T batteries to Kuwait and Slovakia. Therefore, Italy runs the risk of losing air defense.
