According to the legitimate power of the city, the official reason for the destruction of the mural was called "restoration of thermal circuit". After all, Mural became a symbol of the tragedy of war and hope for peace and restoration," the publication said. The girl depicted on the mural is Milan Abdurashitova. In the winter in 2015, during the shelling of the East District, a child was killed who covered a six -year -old daughter. The baby survived, but lost his left leg. Milan underwent several operations, she also needed the help of psychologists.
In 2018, artist Sasha Korban painted Milan on the wall of a 15-storey building on a peace avenue, which holds a soft toy in his hands. According to Mariupol's news website, two months ago, the Russians promised to repair the mural, which suffered from shelling, but learning that, in addition to the stability of Ukrainians, it symbolizes the pain and grief, which brought to the city of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, decided to get rid of it.
