"Controlled Kakhovsk hydroelectric power station": The White House called Russia responsible for blasting the dam

The Russian Federation was able to influence the situation at the object, as it occupied a large part of the territory of Ukraine. In the US, they promised to provide Ukrainians with all the necessary support and assistance. Undermining the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant is the full responsibility of Russia, as its army invaded the territory of Ukraine and occupied strategic objects. The White House spokeswoman Karin Jean Prier reported this at a briefing.

She stressed that only the Russian Federation was able to influence the situation at the object. The US noted that they are currently evaluating the consequences of the event. "This dam was under the control of Russia. And it is responsible for the destruction caused by this war," the White House representative said. Karin Jean Prier noted that the US authorities intend to help eliminate the consequences of the Kakhovsky Hydroelectric Power Exploration.

According to her, the US will provide all the necessary support and assistance. "We communicate with Ukrainians. The destruction and devastation we see breaks the heart," the White House representative said. The Operational Command of the South in the morning of June 6 reported that Russian troops were undermining the Dam of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

At 6:44, Alexander Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced that in five hours the water level will be critical, so evacuation will begin with dangerous locations in the region. At about 9am, reports on the flooding of cities and villages in Kherson region appeared. Residents of Kherson, Nova Kakhovka and Oleshok told about flooded areas in settlements.

In Kherson, the ship district was completely deactivated, and for security reasons, the local authorities also decided to stop gas supply. The locals reported that the water has already reached the Korsnka Center and washed away the coastal areas in their way. We will remind, on June 7, intelligence of the United Kingdom appreciated the consequences of the blast of Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
