This opinion was expressed by Lieutenant General Mikhail Zabrodsky in his article "Patriotic War. Land Military Perspectives".

According to Zabrodsky, three new powerful operational groups should be created in Zaporozhye, Sumy region and in Volyn. "It is necessary to create two operational associations, consisting of 4-5 all-military, 2-3 tank and 1-2 artillery brigades each. In total-up to 600 tanks, up to 1100 APC/BMP and up to 500 guns and RSZV," Zabrodsky said . Lieutenant General also told about what tactics the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can apply in the near future.

In his opinion, the Russian command can create two powerful shock groups - in Zaporizhzhya and Sumy directions to "cut" Ukraine into two parts by counter -concentrated blows. Then from the north, the Russian military will go to Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, and from the south - to Zaporozhye and the Dnieper. "The ultimate military goal of the operation may be the strategic environment of the Armed Forces group on the left bank of the Dnieper River," Zabrodsky summarized.
