The Ukrainian state project "I want to live" was created to inform the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation about the opportunities for them to put weapons and to be captured by the Armed Forces. In particular, the Ukrainian side guarantees those Russians who decided not to fight against Ukraine and to be captured: it is specified that all servicemen who voluntarily surrendered are issued as they were captured in battle.
This preserves for them all payments and benefits that belong to the military in Russia, and will also be able to protect them from possible persecution at home after returning home. We will remind, the representative of Ukrainian intelligence Andriy Yusov said that in just a few weeks more than two thousand servicemen of the Russian Federation called on the hotline of the project "I want to live" with the question of how to hand over the Armed Forces.
