Explosions at the Russian Federation and transformer substation in the Dzhankoy ...

Explosions under Dzhankoy became a serious blow to the logistics of the Russian Army: ISW Estimates and a Map of Fighting

Explosions at the Russian Federation and transformer substation in the Dzhankoy area in the occupied Crimea have caused significant damage to Russian resources and seriously violated the logistics of the Russian army. The American Institute for War Study (ISW) in its new summary. Its experts remind that Russian troops used Dzhankoy as a railway knot for throwing troops and equipment in occupied settlements in the south of Zaporizhzhya region, including Melitopol.

In addition, the Russian authorities have temporarily suspended a passenger rail from Russia to Crimea after yesterday's explosion series. Video Day ISW reminds that Crimea is a sovereign territory of Ukraine, and therefore a possible strike of the Armed Forces on the logistics sites of the Russian army on the peninsula "will not violate Ukraine's obligations to Western partners" on the use of arms.

The experts of the institute do not see the signs that the Ukrainian forces have used the United States of recent strokes in the Crimea, and considers it "unlikely" this option, since the goals are far beyond the reach of the US systems transferred to Kiev.

"Attacks on Russian positions in and around Crimea are probably part of a consistent counter -offensive of Ukraine aimed at restoring control over the west shore Forces on the mainland of Ukraine, in particular in the western regions of Kherson region.

" Therefore, Ukraine's desire to make the land pathways of the Russian Army, its rear and auxiliary resources in the Crimea "coordinates with Ukrainian counter -offensive actions, which are also aimed at bridges through the Dnieper and Russian elements of rear support in the occupied Kherson region.

" The end result of this campaign is likely to be a violation of the ability of Russian troops to maintain mechanized forces on the western bank of the Dnieper and to defend them through aviation and artillery on the eastern bank from the Ukrainian counterattack, and concludes the Institute for War Study.

ISW experts also believe that Russia's strategic goals in Ukraine remain unchanged by maximalist: to achieve changes in power in Kiev and to ensure territorial control of the Russian Federation over most of Ukraine. However, in the public space, the Kremlin continues to attempt to distort these goals.

Thus, in his speech at the Army-2022 forum, August 15, Vladimir Putin did not say a word about the territories of Ukraine outside the Donbass, describing the goals of Russia's war, which contrasts sharply with the previously declared desire for "denacification" and "demilitarization" of all Ukraine. Putin's words also diverge with the actions of the Russian army, which has already occupied and tries to attach part of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions to the Russian Federation.
