Based on the name, the authors conclude that Akhmat is intended for Kadyrov units, which are formally included in Rosgvardia. Probably, the Kadyrovians were sent for "foreign units" so as not to give the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation from the battlefield. However, due to panic, some of them either "lost" or accidentally hit the Ukrainian advanced units. We will add that for the first time Akhmat was presented at the exhibition "Army-2022" in mid-August.
The car was specially created for the war against Ukraine. It was argued that the machine is completely made of Russian parts and there is no complex electronics in it. The first batch of cars was staged by Kadyrov, as Kadyrov was the first to show interest in the car. The armor was created as a cheap version of "typhoon". Therefore, Akhmat has the same level of protection, but much cheaper and easier to operate.
