According to American analysts, the pace of the offensive of Russian troops in the Bakhmut direction decreased and the leadership of the Wagner PEC has to change tactics to storm certain areas of the front. On Thursday, March 30, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to attempt to step in Bakhmut, Donetsk region and its surroundings. This is discussed in the report of the Institute of War Study (ISW) of March 30.

The publication states that Russian bloggers reported the capture of the administrative building in the settlement, but analysts did not find visual evidence. The authors of the report also noted that the Russians indicate a change in the tactics of Wagner PEC in Bakhmut. According to them, the "Wagnerivtsi" now concentrate forces to storm certain areas of the front.

It is reported that it is a chromovo (2 km west of Bakhmut), Bogdanivka (6 km northwest of Bakhmut), Minskivka (14 km northwest of Bakhmut), Ivanivske (6 m west of Bakhmut) and Bahmut ( 14 km southwest of Bakhmut). According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Russian invaders made unsuccessful attempts to advance in Bakhmut in three directions: northwestern, western and southwestern.

Analysts also reported that referring to the data of the Colonel of the Armed Forces Yevgeny Mezhevikin that the pace of the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Bakhmut is decreasing. "Russian attacks in the Bakhmut area have slowed down, and the Ukrainian forces have prevented the inevitable threat to the environment," the report reads.

In an interview with The New York Times, published on March 30, Yevgeny Mezhevikin noted that the density of shelling in Bakhmut has decreased several times. According to him, the enemy has already exhausted all his reserves. According to the Chairman of the Joint Committee of US Chiefs of Staff Mark Millie of March 29, nearly 6,000 professional mercenaries of the Russian PEC "Wagner" were involved in Bakhmut.
