Spy with weakness to money: the Czech Republic exposed an employee of the Foreign Ministry who worked on the Russian Federation

The Czech diplomat worked in the Ministry since the 1990s and transmitted secret information to the Russians. He began cooperating with Russia after acquaintance with the agent of the RSS of the Russian Federation in Africa. Former employee of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who has worked in the department since the 1990s, has cooperated with the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service. He had access to secret information.

The spy was revealed by the Czech Republic Security and Information Service (BIS), reports on Thursday, September 15, IDNES, citing a BIS representative. The Security Service has informed the Prime Minister and the Czech Minister of the Czech Republic of this case in the first half of this year. According to the newspaper, BIS was first discovered several years ago that the SZR had a source of confidential information in the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then identified and monitored it.

One of the diplomatic sources told reporters that the Russians used the weakness of the Czech official to women and money. While working at the Embassy of one of the African countries, a Czech diplomat met with a Russian couple, where the man was an employee of the CZR, according to the publication. Then the relationship between them grew into full cooperation - the Russian scout required information from his informant, including secret, in exchange for money.

In this case, the law in force in the Czech Republic does not allow the use of reconnaissance data in court, so the source interviewed could not answer whether the Foreign Minister's expection worker is threatened. Earlier, two officials from the Ministry of Economy of Germany, who were engaged in energy issues, suspected in the transfer of secret data of Russia.
