"We were preparing": Danilov told why the authorities did not warn the Ukrainians about the invasion of the Russian Federation

According to the NSDC Secretary, the first strategic task of the Kremlin was to destabilize the situation within Ukraine. The authorities were silent about the preparation of the invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to prevent panic in Ukrainian society. This was stated in an interview with the Wirtualna Polska newspaper by Alexei Danilov Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

In particular, journalists reminded that in the fall of 2021 the US warned about possible preparation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, during which Russian servicemen would try to seize Kyiv. The interlocutor asked why Ukrainian politicians reassured society and called fakes similar information in the media.

According to Alexei Danilov, if Ukraine did not prepare for a full -scale invasion - he would not sit with Wirtualna Polska journalists in his office, and Russian tanks would already stand on the streets of Warsaw and Prague. "We protect not only our land but also all of Europe. It is a sufficient proof that the preparation for war was. Another thing is that we could not allow panic. The first task of the Russians was destabilization to control.

On the clarifying question, whether Russia is at risk of entering a direct armed conflict with NATO, Alexei Danilov reminded the situation with the destruction of Boeing MN17 in the sky over the Donetsk region.
