According to analysts, since February 24, 2022, about 19% of Russians have decided to buy only smartphones from unpopular brands, another 11% reflect on the purchase of little -known models. At the same time, more and more Russian residents are choosing devices from the lowest or average price category, which indicates a fall in purchasing power. 30% of the survey participants said they simply postponed the purchase of phones to the best of times.

Experts have paid attention to the decrease in demand for Samsung and Apple iPhone smartphones, which are very popular in many other countries. Once upon a time, the products of these brands were very popular in Russia, but in early March the companies decided to leave the country because of armed aggression against Ukraine. Currently, 41% of Russians surveyed say they buy smartphones from China.

Much of the population of Russia (14%) still wants to buy brand gadgets that they liked but cannot find them in the country's stores after sanctions, so it is searching abroad. In such a situation, about 50% of Russians began to be more loyal to illegal methods of buying devices. For example, the Russian authorities approved the so -called "parallel import", that is, the import of goods without the permission of an official manufacturer - it was approved by 10% of the respondents.

Approximately 35% of Russian consumers were interested in old smartphones in the secondary market. Probably for many it is the only opportunity to get a good model against the background of increasing prices for new equipment, in some cases the jump was 10-15%. Another 9% prefer to order Chinese smartphones on foreign sites with international delivery - it is much cheaper than in retail stores in the Russian Federation.
