On July 27, it became known that China and the United States were increasing their military force around the Taiwanese Strait, as tension is increasing due to a possible visit to the US House of Representatives Island Nancy Pelosi. Earlier, Financial Times, citing a number of US officials, reported that the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi intends to visit Taiwan after August 1. If Pelosi visited Taiwan, it would be the first trip to a US level representative to the island since 1997.
