The CNN team in the Donetsk region of Ukraine heard a continuous strong artillery fire on the outskirts of Soledar on Wednesday. "We are about 7 kilometers from the place where this battle is raging. You can hear the sounds of artillery - most of them are going towards the city," Ben Vedman of CNN said. Ukrainian troops, which were placed a few kilometers from the front line, performed duties for maintenance and logistics without any sign of retreat or departure.

Also on the spot was the head of the administration of the Soledar district, who helped to distribute humanitarian aid to the locals. It is difficult, but we are lively than anyone else. Don't believe that the Russians say. We hold on almost on your own without commanders,"-said military. The soldier said that if the nearest Ukrainian units keep their positions, his unit will be able to retreat safely.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation blazes the connection, and this complicates coordination. "It is unclear who is our neighbors, but someone is there and is at war. We have no connection with them," the soldier said. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar noted that heavy fights are ongoing in Soledar.

"After the loss, the enemy again replaced his units, increased the number of Wagnerians, tries to break through the defense of our troops and completely capture the city, but has no success," she said. The General Staff of the Armed Forces stated that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were trying to control the city of Soledar and ways of providing Ukrainian units, but suffer great losses. Fighting for the city continues.
