Russia's recognition of pseudo -referendums and another attempt to annex the territory of Ukraine will mean that this President of the Russian Federation has nothing to say - the head of state at a meeting of the UN Security Council

President Volodymyr Zelensky took part in a videoconference mode at a meeting of the UN Security Council, convened on the initiative of Ukraine, and called on the international community to respond to a violation of international law and law and order.

During his speech, the Head of State drew the attention of the participants of the meeting that Russia is already violating the rules of the world, despises the UN Charter, and only the issue of time when it will destroy this last international institution that can still act. “It is for the action that I call you now. Anyone in the world will name hundreds of examples of how Russia violates international law and destroys an array of international law.

He constantly provokes escalation and constantly responds to any proposals for new cruelty on the battlefield, even greater crises and threats to Ukraine and the world. And these are obvious things, ”the President said. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that among the violations that Russia has succeeded - ignoring the call of the IAEA for immediate de -occupation annexation of captured Ukrainian territories. According to the President, there is only one way to stop it all.

First of all, complete isolation of Russia in response to what it does. “The state, which is just implementing genocidal policy now, cannot remain a permanent member of the UN Security Council with a veto. Russia should be excluded from all international organizations. If such an exception is complicated by the procedure, its participation should be suspended, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. In addition, in his opinion, new rigid global sanctions against the Russian Federation are needed.

It is also important to continue Ukraine's support in the war with Russia. “It is in Ukraine that it is in this war that not only our independence, not only the right to life for our people, but also international law as such, is protected. Ukraine must receive all the necessary defense and financial assistance to lose the aggressor, ”the Head of State said.

The President emphasized that Ukraine should get clear and legally compulsory guarantees of collective security - the independence of our country is of fundamental importance for many elements of global security, so the world needs a corresponding security architecture.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized: “The recognition of these pseudo -referendums as allegedly normal, the implementation of the so -called Crimean scenario and another attempt to annex the Ukrainian territory will mean that there is nothing to speak with this Russian President. Annexation is a step that puts it one against all humanity. It is such a clear signal that is now needed from every state in the world.
