"The war between NATO and the Russian Federation is more than real", is the head of the Czech Republic.

The Czech General Staff state that they are preparing for an intense conflict with Russia. There is a likelihood of war between Russia and NATO, and this is the worst of possible scenarios. Such a statement was made by the Chief of General Staff of the Czech Republic Karel Rzhevka today, May 29. According to him, in this situation it is necessary to introduce the policy of maximum restraint, while preparing for everything.

"The war between Russia and the North Atlantic Alliance, which is the worst scenario for us, is possible," said the head of the Czech General Staff. Rzhevka noted that the Czech armed forces are trying to prepare for a potential intensive conflict, as Russia is now in the trajectory of conflict with the Alliance. "The Czech Republic is a member of NATO, and this brings advantages, but also imposes some obligations.

Therefore, if a war begins, a large number of Czech soldiers joins hostilities according to the Alliance's plans," he added. The Chief of Staff stressed that it is necessary to strengthen national security and, in particular, to overcome the dependence on the supply of Russian energy. On May 25, the Czech Ministry of Defense stated that it plans to join Germany in the program of modernization of Leopard 2 tanks to 2A8 level.
