Volodymyr Zelensky (photo: Ukrainian Presidential Press Service/Handout Via Reuters) President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russian army was trying to strengthen the position in the occupied areas of southern Ukraine, but it will not help it. He said this during a video address on Sunday, July 31. According to the President, now the aggressor country is increasing activity in the relevant areas.

“Some of the Russian forces from their positions in the east are thrown south - to Kherson and to the Zaporozhye region. But it won't help them there. None of the Russian blows remain unanswered from our military and intelligence. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to respond to any new activity of the invaders, ”Zelensky emphasized. In the evening, the General Staff said that the Russians were thrown away by individual units from Slavyanski to the Zaporozhye direction.
