The consequences of war: 345 million people faced a lack of food - UN

The new report of the World Food Program says there are four main reasons that have caused a serious food crisis in the world. Each night, 828 million people go to sleep hungry. Moreover, the number of those who face a sharp shortage of food has increased sharply since 2019 - from 135 million to 345 million, which is written by the UN World Food Program (WFP). The report states that the WFP requires $ 22. 2 billion to cover the need for food 152 million in 2022.

However, since the world economy suffers from the Covid-19 pandemic, the gap between needs and funding is greater than ever before. "We are at a critical crossroads. To prevent a hungry catastrophe that has encountered the world, everyone has to unite with state donors whose generous donations make up the major part of WFP funding," the report said. Failure to do so, as it is noted, the world will lose a large number of lives.

The report states that the crisis was caused by a combination of the following factors: earlier, focus wrote that Europe is expecting the greatest drought in 500 years. According to the EU Commission in Brussels, the current drought can cause other climatic cataclysms and, most importantly, famine. We will also remind that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Zaporozhye region provoke hunger to increase the pace of certification.
