Russia can use at least 16 Transmorflot cargo ships, which, despite sanctions, are running around the world and can carry weapons. This is stated in the Babel media, published on Tuesday, May 16.

"After a full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the company and its fleet came under sanctions, so it changed its name to MG-Flot, and the Lady R ship continued to transport cargoes and schry in different ports of the world," the material reads. Lady R, after adopted against the "Transmorflot", the sanctions went to ports in Alexandria (Egypt), Calkutta and Koti (India). After such flights, the ship always returned to the port to which it was assigned - to Novorossiysk.

A few days later, the ship headed to the port of Duul in Cameroon, where he stood from November 18 to November 23. From there he went in the direction of the South African Republic.

On December 3, he arrived in the area of KapTaun's port, but did not stop there and went further to the Cape of Good Hope, where, violating all the established rules of navigation, turned off the lighthouse. In early December 2022, The Telegraph Media wrote that South Africa could sell Russia's weapons for war with Ukraine. And this cargo is transported by the Russian ship Lady R. The ship was noticed at the port near Capetaun.

According to eyewitnesses with whom media journalists spoke on the rights of anonymity, an unknown cargo was raised on board. The work was carried out mainly at night, and the territory around the ship was guarded by armed people. A few days after Lady R was noticed in the Air in South Africa, a deputy from the Opposition Democratic Alliance, Kobus Mare, appealed to the Minister of Defense. He demanded from the head of the profile ministry to explain the sub -vessel in the port of South Africa.

"This behavior was concerned about the locals because the ship is under sanctions of the United States and the European Union after Russia's invasion of Ukraine," the deputy said. A little later, the WSJ media published a reaction of US representatives to a scandal with a Russian ship off the shores of South Africa.

According to journalists, Washington was concerned about the "support", which the armed forces of South Africa provided the Lady R vessel-in particular allowing him to visit the naval base with a transponder. In turn, the Minister of Defense of South Africa Tendie Modise gave a public response to this article on January 9, 2023. "The United States puts unjustified pressure on African countries that maintain relations with Russia," the politician commented on Lady R.
