As it became known, Aica Gasparyan was convicted in November 2020 in Russia for 7 years and 3 months of a correctional colony of a strict regime for armed robbery. The sentence of the Second Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction was published on the website "Judgments of the Russian Federation".

The Russian was found guilty of robbery in a group of people with the use of weapons and violence, life -threatening and health. On October 12, 2019, Gasparian, together with his accomplice, made a robbery on a man who was engaged in conversion abroad in Moscow. The businessman had a large sum of money - 300 thousand rubles [about UAH 151 thousand]. Trying to pick up the money, Gasparian used a pepper can, and his accomplice shot a man from a traumatic gun.

The Gasparian served his sentence in the Ryazan colony. On the eve of New Year, Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of the Southern Military District, where he presented awards to the Russian military who participated in the war in the territory of Ukraine.
