According to the department, by November 12, the Russian military almost certainly completed the withdrawal of troops from the territory to the west of the Dnieper River. The Ministry of Defense reminded that after leaving Kherson of the Russian Federation called Genichesk "the temporary capital of Kherson region". In this regard, British intelligence suggested that Russia would exceed military administration units to the Genichesky district.
The department emphasizes that Genichesk has good opportunities for coordination of actions by the aggressor in the event of threats from Ukrainian troops from both Kherson and Melitopol. In addition, in this city the armed forces of the Russian Federation will be able to receive reinforcements from the temporarily occupied Crimea. Experts noted that Genichesk is still out of reach of artillery systems at the disposal of Ukraine.
