And on June 6, the port unloaded 250 thousand barrels of oil. According to official British data, the United Kingdom did not receive Russian oil in June or July. The supply was in line with the British protocols because it was considered imports from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
The publication emphasizes that this situation is only one of the 39 recorded cases where Russian oil has been "anonymous". In total, from March, oil for the total amount of £ 778 million arrived in the UK, of which some came from June to July. This situation has become possible because of the features of the National Statistics Office. The British take into account the sender country, not the oil production country.
The publication also noted that the ban on importing Russian oil to Britain will come into force on December 5. Now companies carry only reputational risks, codes import Russian oil.
