Fear rockets and ShahED-136: Germany plans to protect Rebaz in Slovakia with its air defense

The Mantis anti -aircraft system will be able to knock down winged missiles and drones within 3 km radius thanks to a speedy gun. The German government plans to install anti -aircraft complexes for the defense of the repair hub in Slovakia. About it reports Defense Romania. Slovak's Defense Minister Yaroslav Naga said that the German government plans to install aircraft on RheinMetall repair base.

There is no details about the agreement, but Germany's defense minister Christine Lambert speaks to the establishment of Mantis. It will be installed for defense of the German repair center near the city of Mikhalivtsi in Slovakia. It was launched for the repair of German equipment, which was handed over to the Ukrainian army. Probably, Germany wants to install such a installation because of fears of Russian attacks or Kamikadze rockets or drones. Mantis SAM is a small radius complex.

It is capable of knocking down the winged rockets and UAVs within 3 km. The installation is able to shoot up to 1000 shots per minute. Defense Express also added that the RheinMetall concern received a contract of 182 million euros. The company will make two Skynex anti-aircraft artillery units by 2024. Supplies to Slovakia Mantis can seriously strengthen the country's air defense, since they have only Soviet samples in service: CUB-1 CUB-1 PSRC.
