The main purpose of war. Russia charges new forces to Bakhmut - Britain's intelligence

There are even fewer unattached combat units in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as several battalions were transferred to the Bakhmut direction. The Russian army has drawn a lot of additional forces in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, still hoping to seize the city. This was written on May 20 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, citing intelligence data.

According to the British military, in the last four days, Russia has moved several battalions to strengthen its forces in the Bakhmut direction. It happened against the backdrop of the Armed Forces tactical successes in the flanks in the Bakhmut area and public recognition of the unwillingness of mercenaries of Wagner PEC to continue fighting in the city.

UK intelligence believes that there are quite a few combat units in Russia that have not yet been involved in Ukraine, so redeployment is a significant step by the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Probably, the management of the aggressor country still considers Bakhmut's admiration for the key to the war, since he will bring the occupants at least some success in the battlefield.

Earlier, the Defense Ministry reported on the course of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces under Bakhmut. In the suburbs, active battles continue for each meter of territory, as the Russians did not give up attempts to seize the entire settlement. Let the Ukrainian military advance a short distance, this breakthrough is of great importance given the intensity of hostilities in Bakhmut.
