In Ukraine in the summer will work a single register of weapons: buy and sell a gun will be easier

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, the main thing is to control the weapon that is in circulation. Today, these are more than one million units except the trophies from the front. In Ukraine, at the end of June, a single weapon register will work, which will greatly simplify the process of purchasing and selling it. This was stated by Interior Minister Igor Klimenko in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, which was published on May 2.

Each weapon owner will have a personal e-cabinet with all data-the terms of re-registration, checks and information on the sale. "When buying weapons, it will be possible to choose and order without walking to the units of the permit system or the store. The system will be the most simplified system of weapons purchase and sale. We minimize the possible corruption risks for the purchase and registration of weapons," the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.

The main purpose of creating a single register, according to Klimenko, is the control of the weapon that is in the treatment. Today it is 1 million and 300 units without trophy weapons. The register will help law enforcement officers to control the spread of weapons. And business entities will be able to bring to the base all weapons, which are in warehouses and sold. The largest weapons stores contain about 70,000 units of various types of weapons, the minister was calculated.

"We have announced the launch of the Unified Register on June 23, 2023. In a few weeks we are already launching it in the test version," Klimenko added. The first will go to the Unified Register, which has already been registered in Ukrainian bases. This also applies to weapons that came from the front and fell into the hands of Ukrainians. "For example, that our military or citizens got after Russian shelling of certain objects.

We want all these weapons to be simply registered with police authorities now, it will return to citizens before the end of martial law. Weapons are quite a lot in arms. The main thing is to consider it, "Klimenko said. People will not be returned to people as it is considered a weapon with a high degree of threat. The list of weapons and ammunition that cannot be in the hands of citizens is clearly defined. For example, these are grenade launchers, mortars and the same grenades, Klimenko explained.

"Upon completion of martial law, the weapon will be property of the state. The term will be defined, I think a few months for which citizens must bring weapons to police or business entities, hand it or sell it by the same business entities, or to nurture, or process On the allowed weapon, the hunting carbine, for example, " - said the minister. All weapons issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the beginning of a full -scale war with the Russian Federation were fully taken into account.
