Discussion of negotiations with Russia is on the battlefield - Kuleba (video)

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that Ukraine does not need regular Minsk agreements or the Norman format. Therefore, negotiations are possible only in the context of full liberation of the territory of Ukraine. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that Ukraine is not rejecting negotiations with Russia, but now this issue is "discussed" on the battlefield, as it is the only type of negotiations that the Kremlin perceives.

This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba. Journalists noted that after the real success of the Armed Forces on the front recently, Moscow has resumed signals in the information space about possible negotiations with Kiev. However, the Ukrainian side is primarily concentrated on the liberation of its territories. "We are fighting with Russia not for the sake of having the opportunity to talk to them, but for the sake of winning," Kuleba emphasized.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that it is difficult to keep track of such signals of the Kremlin, since they periodically appear, then disappear. However, in any case, as soon as the negotiations are, Russian officials at the highest level state that Russia is ready to speak about fulfilling its conditions, which automatically offsets the very possibility of such negotiations.

Moreover, the minister believes, Russia has repeatedly demonstrated that it should not be trusted, since its goal wants the full defeat of Ukraine and its "restart". "Russia has repeatedly demonstrated that it cannot be trusted. But again, the purpose of Russia - when I talk about restarting - I mean that Ukraine as a successful European democratic state is incompatible with the concept of Russia," Kuleba said.

According to him, Russia will show interest in the negotiation process at the moment when the understanding is that its position is weakened as weakened as possible, it cannot keep the captured territories, and therefore the Russian leadership will have to stabilize the situation sharply. But Ukraine does not need "Third Minsk" or another Norman format in this situation - this is already in the past, says Kuleba.

"But we are ready to sit at the table, if we talk about the complete restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. And we are very clear to all partners, they also do not exclude the possibility of negotiations," - said Kuleba, adding that a certain part of the Ukrainian territory, perhaps will be released diplomatic.
