"Terrorist attacks" in Crimea: the court of the Russian Federation arrested Kirill Budanova in absentia

The head of military intelligence was charged with three articles of the Criminal Code of the aggressor country. Russia also reports that the Budanov court decision was made on the international wanted list. On Friday, April 21, the Lefortiv District Court of Moscow arrested the Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kiril Budanova in absentia. This is evidenced by data on the official portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.

It is noted that the court granted the request for correspondence arrest of Budanova KA According to the file of the Lefortiv District Court, the person involved is accused of creating a terrorist community (part 1 of Article 205. 4 of the Criminal Code), committed by a group of terrorist attacks (paragraph 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code), storage of weapons and explosive 222. 1 of the Criminal Code).

The court also reported that Budanova was made in the international wanted list, Russian propaganda media reported. "Earlier, the FSB and the Investigative Committee called Kiril Budanov as a direct leader of the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge. The head of the Ukrainian intelligence himself was recognized as his responsibility for the organization of terrorist attacks," the message reads.

It is noteworthy that the seizure of the arrest of Budanov was appointed in the schedule of Judge Elena Kaveva, along with the correspondence arrest of the famous Bellingcat investigator, Christ Grozev with a difference of half an hour. The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation officially accused the head of the GRU of Ukraine Kiril Budanov of organizing the undermining of the Kerch Bridge, the Russian media reported in October 2022.

The Chekists declared the detention of eight persons: five Russians and three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia, who were called the accomplices of Budanov. The FSB claimed that at least 12 people were trained. On January 31, Kirill Budanov stated in an interview with Washington Post that Ukrainian special services were not involved in attacks on the Kerch Bridge and military aerodromes in the Russian Federation.

At the same time, he added that until Ukraine resumes its territorial integrity, there will be problems within Russia. "There are really people in this territory with whom it is very easy to work with. They understand that Russia should be different and we support such people," the scout admitted. We will remind, on April 18 the head of intelligence Kirill Budanov told the journalist ABC News that the Russian-Ukrainian war will end in the near future.
