In China, the call system changes during the war: what will change

Local authorities should first and foremost gain skilled college students to improve the quality of personnel. Chinese officials are changing the provisions on conscription during hostilities. This is reported by Global Times. In the course of reforming the People's Liberation Army of China, they changed the focus on a set of soldiers during the war. Highly qualified college students will now be given preference. The call should be made on the basis of the current needs of the military.

Local military service should be held primary responsibility for the recruitment of fighters. Military analyst Son Zhongpin says that the recruitment of students in the army will help NOAC improve the overall quality of personnel and create professional forces. The rules for the recall of qualified veterans during the war are also established. New changes will come into force on May 1. The publication claims that this is the necessary step to deepen the reform of the defense sector.
