How to Compensate Damage caused by Russians

The property of the Russian Federation and its agents are quite toxic objects, because the Russians are unlikely to "release" it. That is why the process must be perfect. The processes of recovery of funds from the aggressor have begun since 2014. The first to start doing private business, referring to investment arbitrations under agreements on mutual protection of investments, which was violated by the Russian Federation, annexing Crimea.

These are companies such as Naftogaz, Ukrnafta, PrivatBank, Oschadbank, Belbek Airport and more. And some of them have already received positive arbitration decisions and recognized these decisions abroad. Of course, the implementation of decisions remains problematic, but work in this direction is underway. As for the private property of people, the state itself reimbursed the costs associated with the war, within the limit - UAH 300,000.

After a full -scale invasion, the situation intensified, and immediately began to work on the development of two mechanisms: international compensation (collection of property of the Russian Federation abroad) and sanction (property located in Ukraine).

The international will look like: - a register of losses caused by the Russian Federation to Ukraine, its citizens and business is created; - a fund is created, which will be filled with funds, which are already arrested and should be charged in favor of Ukraine, as well as donors; - a commission is created, which will make decisions on payments of compensation; - There will be a special order to implement the decisions of the commission.

The Government of the Netherlands has agreed to establish a register of losses caused by Ukraine by Russian aggression. This is a very important step that at the international level will help to allocate funds for the reconstruction of Ukraine, even if the hostilities themselves continue.

As for the sanction mechanism, when the property of the Russians in Ukraine is confiscated, corporate rights and financial assets of banks have already been nationalized, the appeal to recover the property of Yevtushenko, Shelkov, Yanukovych, Deripaski, Rothenberg, Hineber, Balance, has been successfully initiated. Confiscated assets are sold at an online auction, which provides the maximum level of protection against leakage of potential participants until the auction begins.

This ensures the absence of abuse. The property of the Russian Federation and its agents are quite toxic objects, because Russians are unlikely to "release" it. Therefore, legally, the implementation process should be perfect. Of course, no money and assets can compensate for the level of grief and suffering that the aggressor has inflicted on Ukraine and its citizens.
